Play time at Yarralumla

Following a growing need for premiere childcare services in Canberra Papilio Early Learning Yarralumla is taking flight. The new Papilio Early Learning centre has opened along with Papilio Early Learning Barton to join the existing Papilio Early Learning Bruce centre which was a standalone until July 2019.

Symbolic of transformation and growth, Papilio is the latin term for butterfly. The new brand represents the belief that every child is beautiful and unique. It is the team’s goal to inspire every child to spread their wings through a journey of self-discovery, supporting them to be the best they can be, and laying the foundations of success for a future of lifelong learning. As part of the re-brand Papilio Early Learning Yarralumla underwent an overhaul both inside and out, with fresh paint, new playgrounds, and a total centre refresh. Area Manager Karen Pollard said “Papilio Yarralumla is a purpose built centre nestled in the leafy suburb of Yarralumla. We are surrounded by majestic trees and parkland which contributes to the ‘world away from home’ feeling.”

It’s not just the facilities that have received a little TLC. To help Papilio Early Learning Yarralumla align with the new brand the centre now offers a range of incursions and excursions throughout the year that are centered around the children’s interests, guided by the lifelong learning curriculum.

The centre also offers a dedicated preschool program for children aged three to five years with passionate educators working hard to create a balance between child-initiated and teacher-led activities. The programs will provide the opportunity for children to prepare for the best start in their schooling years while our educators still focus on an attentive, nurturing care and play-based curriculum.
